Murree Hills is the headquarter of Murree tahsil of Rawalpindi District where all the amenities of life are Bazaars, Collages, Schools, Hospitals, Hotels, Rest Houses, Telephones, Tele Graphs Offices & Internet Services etc.But now a days there are One shopping mall and other shopping centre are builds, where some business men came in the seasons for their goods business. The ideal season for the tourists resorts is from June to August and during this period it has hot of hustle and bustle and meal people come from all the different part of the country & also from abroad.

During snow season many people come from all over the country to enjoy the snow fall.Handi crafts and ice sticks are the special items purchased by the tourists. Kashmir Point & Pindi Point are important places, from where one can enjoy the Kashmir and Islamabad/Rawalpindi cites respectively.Kuldana, Burban, Upper & Lower Topaz are such places in the surrounding of Murree Hills, where one can go for recreation.

Chair lift is installed at Bansra Gali, Patriata and Ayubia which like a sky-lift, Takes you up to the some of the nearby range for a panoramic view of forested hill.Bansra Gali is 5km ,Patriata 30km & Ayubia is 26km from Murree Hills.

As we all know Murree is a beautiful hill station in the Northern Punjab and is dedicated to the name of a British officer "Mr. Murray" or "Mr.Murry".There are also some two another versions,1st is the original name was "Marhi" dedicated to a pious woman whose burial place is near Pindi Point & 2nd is that name attributed the name to "Marry" the mother of Jesus Christ in the support of their contention have pointed to the tower at Pindi Point where is the grave known as "Mai Marry”. The Town of Murree lies in north latitude 33° and east longitude 73° at the general elevation of 7,500 feet above the sea level with a permanent population of about 3,700 in habitants which is, however, greatly increased during the summer season by the influx of visitors and which goes up sometimes to nearly 30,000.The most accessible hill station in these parts-beings only 1 and half hours journey....(more..)
